Twenty-five bills, including the Manipur Land Revenue and Land Reforms (Seventh Amendment) Bill, 2022, have been placed before the assembly after they were given assent by the Governor of Manipur.

Chief Minister N Biren Singh also laid demand for grants 2024-25; annual financial statement 2024-25; Manipur Budget at a glance 2024-25; demands for excess grants for the year 2018-19.
Minister Th Basanta Kumar (in-charge of law) also laid the Separate Audit Report for Manipur State Legal Services Authority for the year 2018-19, 2019-20,2020-21, 2021-22 on the table of the House.
Posts for 60 doctors, 1055 staff vacant in veterinary hospitals
On the first day of the sixth session of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly, minister of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, Kashim Vashum, informed the floor of the house there are vacancies for 60 doctors and 1055 staff in veterinary hospitals.
He was answering to a starred question put up by MLA Shayamkumar.
The minister said that there are 55 Veterinary hospitals and 109 dispensaries in the state. He further informed that among the doctors, 163 are sanctioned post while 103 are man-in-position, that 2041 are sanction staff post while 986 are man-in-position.
The minister also informed that the government is trying to fill up the vacancies.
In another starred question moved by MLA Shyamkumar regarding health services, health minister Sapam Ranjan said that there are 462 primary health sub-centres, 82 primary health centres, 12 urban primary health centres, 20 community health centres, one sub division hospital and seven district hospitals in the state.
And there are 3024 staff vacancies of different posts, minister Ranjan added.
In another starred question move by MLA Meghachandra regarding panchayat election, RD and PR minister Y Khemchand responsed that due to prevailing law and order situation Panchayat election has not been conducted for 32 months. However, the state cabinet, in its decision taken on June 13, 2024, approved to conduct the Panchayat election around September 2024, the minister said.
Accordingly, the state election commission has been requested to prepare a fresh schedule for conduct of 6th general Panchayat election.
Responding to MLA Surjakumar starred question, Chief Minister N Biren Singh said that at present there is no policy to extend service tenure of government employee from 60 to 62 years. The matter is under examination in the government, the CM added.
Regarding dues on account of retirement and other benefits like GPF, Gratuity, group insurance, pension communication, leave encashment, etc. for retired employees, the chief minister said that total pending amount to be paid as pensionary benefits is Rs 808.17 crore.
