Manipur: Huge cache of arms seized in Ops

A combined security force seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition on Wednesday from Kakching district.

A combined security forces arrested suspected individuals along with weapons from Sekta Village under Lamlai PS in Imphal East district on Wednesday around 2 pm during a search operation.

According to police, the combined security force seized seven weapons of banned outfit KCP (Noyon) and arrested some suspicious individuals.

During which, the Meira Paibies and Security Forces engaged in arguments at Sekta Village.
The identity of the arrested individuals are yet to be ascertained.

Meanwhile, a combined security force seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition on Wednesday from Kakching district.

According to police, a combined security force of CDO unit Kakching led by OC S.Birla, one column of 33 Assam Rifles,one column of 5/9 Gorkha Regiment, one platoon of A-Coy 126 battalion BSF along with the team of Hiyanglam Police Station under the supervision of SP Kakching Thokchom Vikramjit conducted search operation near Wabagai Natekhong Khulpali ground under Hiyanglam Police Station from 7am-9.30 am.

During the search operation, the combined team seized one Sten MkV rifle along with two magazine, two 12 bore single barrel rifle , two 9mm pistol with magzine, nine 36 hand grenade,one stun grenade, four tube launching,one baofeng wireless set with charger, eight live round ammunition of 9mm , three 12 bore live cartridges, two 12 bore fired cartridges, eighteen 7.62 exploded cartridges, ten 7.62 SLR fired cartridges, ten 7.62 AK fired cartridges and three BP jacket vest.

A case has been registered at Hiyanglam Police Station for further investigation.
