Manipur: Health Minister inspects Covid Hospital Kyamgei

Covid Hospital, Kyamgei is one of the temporary sites for conducting classes for Churachandpur Medical College in Imphal.

Manipur Health/FW & IPR Minister Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh inspected the infrastructures at Covid Hospital, Kyamgei in Imphal East, on Tuesday.

During the inspection visit, the minister was accompanied by State Mission Director, NHM Manipur, Dr M Dinesh Singh, Joint Director, Health Services Manipur, Dr Prabin Singh, Director Churachandpur Medical College (CMC), Dr Iboyaima Singh, officials of Health Department and faculties of CMC.

It may be mentioned that Covid Hospital, Kyamgei is one of the temporary sites for conducting classes for CMC in Imphal.

While interacting with the staffs and MBBS students of CMC who are attending classes at respective places in Imphal due to the state crisis, Minister Ranjan informed that for the convenience of the staff and students the state government has decided to renovate and install required infrastructures of Covid Hospital, Kyamgei as a temporary measure.

He appealed to all the concerned to cooperate with the new initiatives of the Health Department which are being taken up in the interest of the MBBS students of CMC who are in Imphal.

Ranjan also has instructed the concerned authority including the contractors to start their assigned works and complete the same at the earliest. The team also visited the campus of the Hospital and its surroundings.
