Manipur governor meets vice chancellors of state, central universities

Manipur Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya on Saturday held a meeting with the Vice Chancellors of state and central universities at the Raj Bhavan in Imphal.

During the meeting, the Governor instructed them to submit a detailed report regarding the implementation of the New Education Policy (NEP), the Raj Bhavan stated in a release.

Manipur University Vice Chancellor, N Lokendra Singh; Vice Chancellor of Dhanamanjuri University and Manipur Technical University, H Gyan Prakash and Vice Chancellor of Manipur University of Culture, Paonam Gunindro Singh were present in the meeting.

According to the Raj Bhavan, discussions on the implementation of the NEP and other plans aimed at further enhancing the educational landscape of Manipur. A follow-up meeting will be held on September 16 at Raj Bhavan to discuss further, it stated.
