The Kuki women reportedly blocked the passage using logs and threatened the drivers.

The sources said that the convoy could disperse the group of 20-30 Kukis women. However, considering the attack on the CM advance convoy team and the small kuki villages located along the road, the CRPF halted from moving further.

Following which, a meeting was convened in presence of Jiribam SP M Pradip, Assam Rifles CO Akash and Tamenglong SDPO at Phaitol.

Meanwhile, president of Jiribam Driver Union Sadananda stated that around 300 freight trucks carrying essential commodities including cement, petroleum products departed from Jiribam.
