Manipur Dalit Committee formed

The main focus of forming the Manipur Dalit Committee is to construct Manipur Dalit School at earliest, says AMDDA president Rajen Ayangba.

Manipur Dalit Committee was formed on Wednesday for construction of Manipur Dalit School in Lamphelpat, Imphal West.

The committee, comprising nine members, was formed under All Manipur Dalit Development Association (AMDDA). The committee will look after by president of AMDDA, Rajen Ayangba as president of committee; Seram Ramchandra as vice president; Thiyam Bhavananda as joint secretary; M Manikanta as general secretary; Naorem Brojen as treasurer; Ninghthoujam Ibochouba as advisor; Th Santosh, M Maichon and Ch Beny as executive members.

Rajen Ayangba said that the main focus of forming the committee was to construct Manipur Dalit School at earliest. The school will provide good quality education facilities to children of poverty-stricken families and the school will be able to accommodate around 10000 students, he added.
