Manipur: Curfew imposed in Jiribam's Lalpani, Kashmipur bazar

Movement of any person outside their respective residences between 6 pm to 6 am in and around Lalpani and Kashmipur bazars prohibited.

The district magistrate, Jiribam on Tuesday issued prohibitory orders prohibiting the movement of any person outside their respective residences between 6 pm to 6 am in and around Lalpani and Kashmipur bazars.

The order was issued following a report received from SP, Jiribam district about breach of peace, disturbance to public tranquility and danger to human lives and properties in and around Lalpani and Kashmipur, stated an order signed by the district magistrate of Jiribam, W Malemnganba Chenglei.

However, the order will not apply to government officials machineries involved in the enforcement of law and order, essential services, media and specific special permit issued by competent authority, it mentioned, adding that the curfew will be imposed till the situation returns to normalcy.
