Manipur Congress general secretary Ngamkhohen Kipgen feted

Sadar Hills District Congress Committee (DCC) felicitated Ngamkhohen Kipgen on being appointed as the general secretary of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) during a ground clearing meeting on Tuesday.

Ngamkhohen Kipgen was felicitated in the presence of co-opted member of MPCC Lamtinthang Haokip and president DCC Zilthang Touthang along with chairman of ST Kishan Morcha, executive members of DCC and block presidents of Saitu and Kangpokpi.

Zilthang Touthang in his speech as the meeting convenor expressed his gratitude to MPCC president Govindas Konthoujam; CWC member Gaikhangam and CLP Leader Okram Ibobi Singh for appointing Ngamkhohen Kipgen as a core member of the party.

He also stressed on the need to expedite the process of reviving the party at the district level and the need to convene a trilateral meeting in regard to strengthening public support at Saikul, Kangpokpi and Saitu blocks

Ngamkhohen Kipgen assured the members that he will be delighted to extend all possible help to revive the party both in his individual capacity and as an executive member of PCC.

The newly appointed general secretary also elaborated on his inclination with the Congress party’s ideologies and principle and his close association with the longstanding members of the political party.
