It mentioned that a total of 169 candidates from this batch have secured placements in key cities across India, such as Mumbai, Kochi, Trivandrum, Hyderabad, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, and Gurgaon. As many as 78 of these candidates belong to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) category, it added.

The initiative aims to train a total of 2,000 individuals across the state and to do this, dedicated training centres have been established across the state, it mentioned.

Chief minister N Biren took a moment to honour each Internally Displaced Person (IDP) trainee, bestowing traditional stoles as a mark of recognition and appreciation.

He further announced a cash reward of Rs 5,000 for each selected candidate who is set to leave the state for their respective job placements. This financial aid is intended to provide immediate support as they embark on their new careers, it added.

This initiative was made possible through a partnership between Hindu College, Delhi University, Ultra International Ltd., and CSIR-CIMAP i.e. Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Lucknow. In a highlight of the programme, N Biren Singh also focused on empowering these women in skill-based sectors, it stated.

He announced a financial incentive of Rs 50,000 each for the girls who attended the specialised perfumery training at Hindu College, it said. This seed money is aimed at enabling them to start small-scale production based on the skills they acquired during the training, giving them a head start in their entrepreneurial journeys, it added.

It further said that the state government will continue to provide support to help them produce the items they were trained to make at a professional level by providing them facilities at MSME Technology Centre Imphal and also through the existing Livelihood Business Incubator (LBI) at Churachandpur industries Centre.

With this assistance, they will be able to engage in small-scale production and enter the perfumery and essential oil market.

Additionally, the CM addressed the IDPs who were unable to attend the event in person, reassuring them that they would be honoured at the airport during their send-off. This gesture ensures that every trainee under the ‘Hunar Se Rozgar’ scheme feels recognised and supported in their pursuit of better opportunities, it added.
