Manipur: Churachandpur police recover stolen vehicle

The vehicle was stolen on March 2, 2024 at around 2 am

Around 12.25 pm on Friday, Churachandpur PS received information that one unclaimed vehicle was found abandoned along the roadside at Tuibong Bazar and immediately a police team, led by ASI T Pauliansiam of CCP-PS, was sent to the spot.

The two-wheeler was identified and the team observed the situation for two hours and consequent to the two-wheeler not being claimed by anyone, it was picked up and brought to PS, where, after due verification it was found to be a stolen vehicle which was reported by one Nemkhochong, 50, wife of Henjakap of M Songgel Village. It was stolen on March 2, 2024 at around 2 am and reported by her on March 14, 2024 vide GD Entry No. 22/CCP-PS/2024 of March 14, 2024.

The owner was then contacted, based on her complaint, and the vehicle was handed over to her after verifying relevant documents and its genuineness, after necessary formalities.
