Manipur chief secretary Vineet Joshi along with Commissioner (Home), Government of Manipur, N Ashok Kumar on Monday visited border town Moreh and took stock of public life and civic administration.
Vineet Joshi chaired a meeting with Deputy Commissioner Tengnoupal, Krishna Kumar, SP Tengnoupal, Rahul Gupta, CO 5 AR Rahul Jain and other officials at the Shopping Complex as part of the visit, stated a release.
The meeting also saw participation by leaders of various civil society organisations of Moreh including Kuki Inpi Tengnoupal, Hill Tribal Council, KSO, KWU & HR, Tamil Sangam, Gorkha Samaj, Hindustani Samaj, BTCC and MMCM, it mentioned.
The CSO leaders also submitted memorandums to the Chief Secretary, it noted. It further said discussions were held on the prevailing situation of the Border Town and concerns of the general public.
The Chief Secretary and the Commissioner also visited the Integrated Check Post Moreh and inspected the various facilities in the complex, it stated. He also visited the relief camps at Moreh Higher Secondary School and KLP Moreh, it added.
He presented gifts to the inmates and also assured them necessary support from the Government, the release said.
