Manipur cancels Dr Rajo’s engagement as director of health service

A contract agreement was signed between the two parties on November 30, 2020 after Rajo’s retirement as director of Medical and Health Services.

The Manipur governor has cancelled the contract agreement between the State Health department and Dr K Rajo Singh for his engagement on contract basis to hold the charge for post of the director of Medical and Health Services with immediate effect.

A contract agreement was signed between the two parties on November 30, 2020 after Rajo’s retirement as director of Medical and Health Services, stated an order issued by the governor on Thursday.

The contract was signed for engagement of Rajo to hold the charge of the said post for a period of six months with effect from December 2020 to May 2021, it stated.

The order added that the contract agreement was signed as per approval given by the State Cabinet in its meeting held on November 10, 2020 and as advised by the department of Personnel, government of Manipur and as per concurrence given by the Finance Department (PIC) government of Manipur.
