Unknown miscreants planted a 36-HE hand grenade at the residence of IMC Mayor Leishangthem Lokeshor situated at Oinam Thingel Lairembi Maning under Singjamei Police Station in Imphal West on Tuesday around 1.3 pm.

As per sources, the hand grenade was concealed in a polythene bag and placed near a flower pot.

Later, a team of Bomb Disposal Squad retrieved the hand grenade around 3.50pm and placed it in the custody of Singjamei Police Station.
