State BJP’s campaign, ‘Eigi Emung, BJP gi Emung’ was organised at the residence of BJP Thangmeiband Mandal, Ward No IX/XXX Booth president Haobam Gitagit at Lalambung Takhellambam Leikai Thangjam Leirak, Imphal West on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, state BJP president A Sharda Devi said the campaign has been continuing with the idea that BJP is concerned with every household. During the campaign, BJP has reached each doorstep and delivered a report card that lists the achievements made during the five years of the Biren led coalition government.
Sharda said as the upcoming state legislative election approaches, new faces including women and youths are seen as intending candidates. “The involvement of women and youths are necessary to shape a good society and with the instruction from BJP high command, party tickets will be provided to the winnable intending candidate,” she said.
State BJP spokesperson Koijam Ramkrishna; former chief minister Koijam Radhabinod Koijam, and others were present during the programme.
