Manipur Assembly Elections 2022: Congress releases third list of candidates

The Central Election Committee of Congress named four candidates in its third candidates list released on Wednesday.

The Central Election Committee of Congress on Wednesday released the third list of candidates for the ensuing general elections to the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly.

The committee named four candidates in its third candidates list released on Wednesday. The four candidates included Aribam Promodini Devi, 12-Keishamthong; Rajkumar Priyobarta Singh, 15-Wangkhei; Birla Haobam, 28-Thanga; Wairok Morung Makunga, 42-Tengnoupal.

On Tuesday, the All India Congress Committee released its second list of candidates selected by the Central Election Committee of Congress. A total of 10 candidates were included in the second list.

The first list of Manipur Congress candidates selected by the Central Election Committee of Congress was released on January 22. As many as 40 candidates, including former chief minister O Ibobi Singh, were named in the first list.

The Manipur Legislative Assembly elections will be held in two phases on February 27 and March 3 to elect 60 assembly members, and counting of votes will take place on March 10.
