A combined security force seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition during a search operation carried out from 4.30 am to 9.30 am at Lower Loiching Ridge 3 Km West of Waroiching in Kangpokpi district on Friday.

According to police, the search operation was carried out by a combined team of 33 Assam Rifles and a team of New Keithelmanbi Police Station.

During the operation, the team seized one improvised 7.62mm SLR Mk 1, one improvised 9mm CMG with magazine, one 9mm pistol with magazine, one 12 Bore single barrel rifle, one long range improvised mortar, one short range improvised mortar, one Motorola set Baofeng Long range, one MK III A2 Grenade, one 36 Hand Grenade detonator, two stun shell, one long range improvised mortar bomb, one short range improvised mortar bomb, five 7.62mm SLR rounds, four 9mm rounds and five SBBL rounds.
