One Anan Gupta from Rota district of Bihar living in Churachandpur was shot dead in district HQ, police said.

The incident took place at Zion Street, Churachandpur town, where one Anan Gupta, 40, son of Pambusham Gupta of Rota district of Bihar was shot dead, the sources said, adding that he was declared brought dead at district hospital, Churachandpur.

Police have launched an investigation in connection with the incident. Meanwhile, relatives of the deceased expressed that there were no demands from individuals or UG groups. Anan was staying in Churachandpur with his wife and two children.
