In a suspected case of drug overdose, a 32-year-old man was found dead by police near RIMS gymkhana, Imphal under Lamphel Police Station on Tuesday.
The victim has been identified as Laishram Inao, 32, son of late Gyaneshor from Uripok Bachaspati Leikai, presently residing at Kwakeithel Konjeng Leikai.
According to sources, the police team found the body of Inao lying near the Gymkhana of RIMS, Imphal. The police team rushed him to RIMS but he was declared brought dead, it added.
Sources from the bereaved family of Inao said that he was a drug abuser. Inao had gone out from his home at around 4.30 pm Monday and had not returned since, the sources added. After the police filed a case regarding the incident, the body had been received by the bereaved family.
