A one-day legal awareness and introduction of Pro Bono Scheme organised by the Pro Bono Club, Royal Academy of Law, Oinam was held at Bishnupur Ward No III, Community Hall on Saturday.
The event was attended by principal in-charge, Royal Academy of Law Oinam Eliza Maisnam, president, BYPFA, Bishnupur Ward No III Saikhom Kesho Singh, assistant professor Royal Academy of Law, Oinam Kh Rajlakshmi Devi, advocate Dimple Tekcham, and president Chingning Chaokhat Nupi Lup Bishnupur Ward No III Konthoujam Ngangbicha Devi. The event was organised with support from Bishnupur Young Players Fitness Association.
Pro Bono associate Chaoba Angom gave the welcome address, followed by the presentation of the keynote address by Pro Bono associate A Sanahal.
Resources persons, assistant professor Royal Academy of Law H Reziya Devi and assistant professor Royal Academy of Law Ch Shaibalini Devi spoke respectively on ‘Food Security Act, 2013’ and ‘Rights of the Elders’ during the occasion.
Presidium members further gave speeches on a range of topics including the Pro Bono Scheme at the event.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks given by Pro Bono associate M Roshan, followed by a light refreshment.
