Three Lamkang civil society organisations on Friday congratulated BJP candidate SS Olish Lamkang of Chandel AC for the landslide victory in the recently concluded 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly Elections, 2022.
The three bodies, Lamkang Naga Kver Kunpun (LNKK), Lamkang Naga Snu Lop (LNSL) and Lamkang Kurchuknao Kunpun (LKK) said in a release that Olish has worked very hard with commitment and dedication towards the welfare of the society without any reservations.
Even while not in position, she has always extended a helping hand and has acted as a pillar of peace and development in the society and found appropriate solutions for the society whenever needed, it said.
Olish had created a landmark in the political history of the Lamkang community and Chandel district on becoming the first lady member of Manipur Legislative Assembly since Manipur attained statehood, it said adding, “Hard work always pays off.”
The organisations also thanked all the people from all walks of life irrespective of community, tribes, gender and religions for the immense support and sympathies that helped them to overcome the situation during the process of the elections.
“Let us continue to rise up with a heart full of courage, love and unity, let us come together and cooperate with her ministry as we work closer towards development of our district,” they said.
Pointing out that Chandel district needs special attention towards economic progress, development, infrastructures, employment, education and many more, it said, “A capable, sincere, dedicated and committed political leaders to fulfil the aspirations of the people, which was long overdued, is now the available in the form of Olish Lamkang.”
“We look forward to her with hope. We wish her the greatest success in all the endeavours,” the orrelease added.
