Lamka College, Churachandpur on Monday organised Social Freshers’ Meet, 2022 at its auditorium. Held in two sessions, the first half was a formal program where freshers introduced themselves and were prayed for; the second session consisted of Mr & Miss Fresher contest and Extempore Speech.
The programme was organised by the Student Union of Lamka College and attended by 150 new students; MLA of Churachandpur AC, LM Khaute as Chief Guest; the principal of the college, T Awnzagen and his Staff; Pastors and well-wishers of the college.
The MLA reminded the students that they are the future of the society and that they are in good hands to excel as their principal and his teaching staff are energetic and dedicated lots who are ready to guide them to give quality teaching that led to past students being officers now.
He also told the students to think out of the box to excel and emphasize the importance of imagining things so as to get to the reality which was witnessed through Poets, asking them to dare to imagine that they will be scientists one day.
As students of 21st century lets focus on education which is not based on communal line and work for the good of society at large, the chief Guest said and said that the local MLA he had always been in touch with the concerned department of education and Minister so that the shortfall in infrastructure and Teaching staff in colleges, including the Lamka College, may be addressed sooner than later.
