The Koren (Koireng) Youth Organisation Manipur (KYO-M) is all set to organise its 49 General Conference cum Sports meet from January 23-28 at Kamu Koireng Village, Island subdivision under Saikul, Kangpokpi District, Manipur.
The main events of the six day conference includes games and sports such as football, volleyball (men and women), marathon and other races (individual, team) including indigenous games, Miss Koren, cultural programme, promotion of livelihood, literary meet, talent shows, discussion and lectures on roles of the youths and community leaders on sustainable development, participation as well as engagement of community on unity, peace and harmony in the state, stated a press release of the organisation.
Around 400 youths and other elders of the Koireng community from different villages of Manipur will participate in the conference. Ministers, MLAs, bureaucrats and other VIPs of the state will attend the said conference, the press release stated.
KYO (M) has requested organisations or any individual of the state not to call any bandhs or general strike during the conference. It also requested all sections of organisations, institutions and any individuals not to cause any disturbance to the delegates coming from across the state to attend the conference. It also appealed to all the ethnic communities of the state to extend their warm support and cooperation for a grand success event.
