Kwatha COB of Tengnoupal Battalion under the aegis of HQ 26 Sect AR conducted an Annual Sports Meet for the students of Junior High School, Kwatha (Tengnoupal district) on Thursday.
COB Kwatha in continuation of its efforts to promote Khelo India & Fit India to Hit India campaign and set the platform for the local students for participation in district/state level sports activities organised sports meet at Kwatha Junior High School.
A total of 55 students participated in the event. As manys as 102 villagers including parents of students also attended the progme.
The aim of the event was to inculcate the habits of sports culture, physical fitness and to promote social harmony among the children. During the game, students participated in various sports events organized by Assam Rifles. Sports items and prizes were also distributed to the school students.
The head teacher and president of Kwatha Sports Youth Club on behalf of vill Kwatha expressed their appreciation to the Assam Rifles for organising the sports activity.
