The late Chengzapao Doungel (Kuki Raja) memorial football ground was inaugurated at Haijang village,under the Singngat sub-division on Wednesday.  

It was inaugurated by the MLA concerned and chairman of MANIREDA and MTDC Ginsuanhau Zou, led by Lamseh Doungel. The field was dedicated to God by reverend Thangkhogin Touthang who is Kuki Baptist Church's pastoral area no.10. 

The programme today was held in two sessions; the first being the inauguration followed by the second which is a hall programme held at the village community hall.

The keynote address was delivered by the chief of the village Alun Haolai who said that this was the first international size football ground for the village which was established in 1886.

He thanked their MLA who materialised his vision and offered all co-operations in his future course of action, while also announcing that a tournament in the name of the Kuki Raja will soon be held.
