The decision to call off the economic blockade was taken late evening during a joint meeting with all the civil bodies following a formal discussion with the social welfare minister Nemcha Kipgen.

According to the Kuki Inpi, after a formal meeting, an emergency joint meeting was convened this late afternoon where the National Sports University Haraothel issue was deliberated with minister Nemcha and an amicable solution was reached. The decision to call off the proposed economic blockade was taken during the joint meeting.

The Kuki Inpi Kangpokpi district however, cautioned that in case of any element attempting to create issues or problems out of the National Sports University site, the Kuki people in Kangpokpi district will oppose and fight tooth and nail.

Meanwhile, the Kuki Inpi Kangpokpi district also appealed to the state chief minister N Biren Singh to demarcate the land without further delay to avoid misunderstanding in the future, in connection to the proposed site for NSU Haraothel, Kangpokpi district.
