KCUM condoles death of Most Rev Joseph Mittathany

"His ardent desire for mission work and his interests in the educational and social development of the state will continue to be remembered in the years to come."

The Kuki Catholic Union, Manipur (KCUM) on Wednesday extended its immense sorrow and grief condolence on the demise of Grace (Late) Most Rev Joseph Mittathany, DD, Archbishop Emeritus of the Archdiocese of Imphal, Manipur.

His Grace spent most of his Episcopal life in Manipur and was instrumental in nurturing the nascent diocese from his appointment in 1980 till his retirement in 2006, said a condolence message issued by general secretary of KCUM Michael Thangjamang Khongsai. 

"His ardent desire for mission work and his interests in the educational and social development of the state will continue to be remembered in the years to come. In his passing away we lost a shepherd and father. May his soul rest in peace," it mentioned.
