The 44th Kuki Christian Church Manipur Synod was held at Jamsat Songtun village in Kangpokpi district from January 16 to 18.
The Synod was held under the theme, "Pakaiya Kison Ding" based on Psalm 118:8 (It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man).
More than 50 pastors and at least four delegates each from 208 churches under KCC Manipur attended the Synod where T Lunkim, Executive Secretary, KCC Manipur Synod, and Pastor Ch Doukholun Mate, Assistant Moderator, KCC Manipur Synod werre the main speakers at the event.
Pastor Janglet Lunkim, Moderator, KCC Manipur Synod formally inaugurated the 44th KCC Manipur Synod while Pastor Ch Doukholun Mate, Assistant Moderator, KCC Manipur, and Lunkhojang Kipgen, chief of J. Songtun delivered the introduction and welcome speech respectively.
The pastor ordination ceremony was performed by Pastor J Lunkim, Moderator, KCC Manipur and dedicated to the newly ordained Pastors after ordination.
Interestingly, the KCC Manipur Synod made a huge contribution for the poor and needy during the synod.
T Lunkim, Executive Secretary, KCC Manipur Synod, and Pastor Ch Doukholun Mate, Assistant Moderator, KCC Manipur Synod spoke on the theme in different worship services.
The 44th Kuki Christian Church Manipur Synod also prayed for the welfare of the state and peace and harmony among the diverse communities in the state.
