The apex body of Kangpokpi District Headquarters, the Kangpokpi Town Committee (KTC) declared to support and vote for BJP candidate MLA Nemcha Kipgen in the forthcoming 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly Election 2022.
KTC said the decision to support and vote for the BJP candidate was adopted considering Nemcha Kipgen's respect for the Kuki traditional form of government.

Nemcha Kipgen respectfully proclaimed to the Town Committee regarding her desire to contest the election on a BJP ticket, KTC chairman Angam Leivon said.
He pointed out that she is the lone candidate from Kangpokpi constituency to proclaim her candidacy in the ensuing 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly Election 2022 to the chairman of the Kangpokpi Town Committee.
