Kangpokpi MLA reaches out to Covid patients under home isolation

Nemcha Kipgen reached out to few identified daily wage earners among the Covid patients in Kangpokpi town and provided a bag of rice and pulses each to them through Covid Task Force Kangpokpi.

Kangpokpi assembly constituency MLA Nemcha Kipgen reached out to poor Covid patients under Home Isolation through Covid task force Kangpokpi on Thursday.

 

The MLA entrusted the Covid Task Force of her assembly constituency to identify daily wage earners among the positive patients in their respective jurisdiction and assured to provide rice and pulses while they are under home isolation combating the virus.

Nemcha reached out to few identified daily wage earners among the Covid patients in Kangpokpi town and provided a bag of rice and pulses each to them through Covid Task Force Kangpokpi.

The MLA said that no one shall discriminate Covid patients and their families while cautioning that anyone found indulging in discriminating Covid patients and their families shall be reported to the authority concerned and appropriate action shall be initiated.

Nemcha further exhorted the people to come forward to extend all possible aid to the Covid patients and their families through Covid task force of their respective areas and villages.

Covid task force Kangpokpi president Haolet Khongsai said that they have identified daily wage earners among the Covid patients within their jurisdiction and distributed the items today.

Khongsai also said that three more positive cases were detected within Kangpokpi town today and their residences have been sealed by the task force with Kangpokpi police.

Khongsai further said that home delivery services by women vegetable sellers within the containment zone have been restricted with immediate effect and any vegetable seller found defying restrictions shall be put under home isolation inside the containment zone.

The Covid task force Kangpokpi also cautioned the residents of Kangpokpi town not to come out without any valid reason or face consequences.

Meanwhile, according to the official Covid situation report in the district, 15 new positive cases were detected in the past 24 hours. Four patients including two from home isolation and another two from Central Jail were cured and discharged today while the active cases climbed to 77
