Kangpokpi MLA Nemcha Kipgen launches CMHA

The MLA said that the scheme will provide door-to-door health screening for primary health care and chronic disease management under the National Health Mission and Directorate of Health Services of Manipur.

Kangpokpi MLA Nemcha Kipgen launched the Chief Minister’s Health for All (CMHA) on Tuesday at the Health and Wellness Centre Kalapahar.

The launching program organised by District Health Society Kangpokpi was attended by Nemcha Kipgen as chief guest while Dr N Shyamjai Singh, SMD, NHM Manipur; Dr Y Premchandra Singh, deputy director Health, SNO, CHMA and NCD; Kedarnath Poudyal, vice chairman, Kalapahar village authority and Dehlam Lhouvum, chairman, Keithelmanbi village attended as guest of Honour. Dr Lamkhoneng Haokip, CMO/DMD, District Health Society Kangpokpi attended the function as functional president.

The local MLA handed over ASHA plus devices, smartphones, etc. to CHOs, nurses, and ASHA workers for the newly launched campaign.

Addressing the gathering after, MLA Nemcha Kipgen said that Chief Minister’s Health For All was launched on October 14, 2021, to bring awareness to the general population of Manipur about the importance of regular health checkups and provide assistance in accomplishing it efficiently.

She continued that the scheme will provide door-to-door health screening for primary health care and chronic disease management under the National Health Mission and Directorate of Health Services of Manipur.

Nemcha also said that the frontline workers will screen for a total of nine NCDs including hypertension, diabetes, heart diseases, kidney ailments, respiratory diseases, common cancers, mental health problems, and stroke/post-stroke illnesses.

It was also announced that Aushadhi medicines will be provided and delivered to patients’ homes free of cost, along with further treatment under CMHT and PMJAY.

In the first phase, 1628 villages will be selected comprising all 16 districts and these villages are linked to 118 Primary Health sub-centers, 29 Primary Health Centres, and 7 Community Health Centres.

Highlighting the visionary governance of the BJP under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, MLA Nemcha Kipgen said that our Prime Minister strongly emphasise the health of the people considering ‘Health is Well’ and introduce innovative ideas for the health benefit of all and our Chief Minister had successfully launched the CM’s health for all scheme in the state.
