Amid the ongoing preparations for the ensuing assembly election, Kangpokpi Block Congress Committee president and vice-president tendered their resignation on Tuesday.
Both Seilun Sitlhou and Haokhosei Guite submitted their respective resignation to the president and general secretary, Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) and a copy was also submitted to the president, Kangpokpi District Congress Committee.
In their resignation letter, both of them stated that they were compelled to resign from their respective posts, owing to personal problems and requested the party president and general secretary to accept their resignation and relieve them from their posts.
Seilun Sitlhou is the lone proposer of Ngamkhohen Kipgen, the INC candidate for the ensuing assembly election from Kangpokpi assembly constituency.
