Kalapahar lad clears INI-CET exam with AIR 11

Clearing INI-CET with AIR 11, an alumnus of SFS Daili, Kangpokpi, and Don Bosco College, Maram, Dr Aman Gurung scripts history.

A young Gorkha from Kalapahar in Kangpokpi district recently cleared the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI-CET) with All India Rank (AIR) 11, creating a record among the Gorkha community in Manipur.

INI-CET is a new common entrance exam that the Central Government had launched for postgraduate medical students to seek admission in PG courses such as MD, MS, DM (six years), MCh (six years), and MDS to certain elite medical institutions like the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi (AIIMS), the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Puducherry (JIPMER) and others.

An alumnus of SFS Daili, Kangpokpi, and Don Bosco College, Maram, Dr Aman Gurung, son of Baba Gurung and Deepa Gurung of Kalapahar managed to secure AIR 11 and is also the state's rank 1 in the examination, scripting record among the Gorkha community in the state.

Dr Aman Gurung had completed his MBBS from JNIMS, Imphal.

While lauding the achievement of Dr Aman Gurung, the Manipur Gorkha Welfare Union conveyed heartiest congratulations and wished him the best in his future endeavours while praying for success in the future.
