Kakching High School alumni team provides monetary aid to ailing person

Kakching High School alumni team, with an aim to keep the hospitals and markets in the Kakching area clean, conducted a mass cleanliness drive.

The members of the Kakching High School 1984 Matric Batch provided monetary assistance to Moirangthem Suraj, son of (Late) Chaoba of Kakching Wairi Senapati area, who has been bedridden in a critical condition due to spinal cord injury some months ago.

The team voluntarily collected an amount of Rs 15,000 and handed it over to the families of Suraj on Friday.

Team president, N Munal Meitei said that since the inception of Kakching High School 1984 Matric Batch team, they have resolved to perform ‘one month, one work’ policy for the welfare of the society and the same has been implemented without fail till date. During the last two waves of COVID-19 pandemic, the team had provided essential items to the needy families and COVID Care Centres in the Kakching area.

He further informed that with an aim to keep the hospitals and markets in the Kakching area clean, the team had also conducted a mass cleanliness drive.

Plantation of tree saplings at the major roadsides of Kakching areas, felicitation of toppers from Kakching areas who cracked UPSC and other important examinations and presentations of gifts to the teachers of Kakching High school on every Teachers Day were the main activities taken up by the team, he added.

Munal also reminded that the team had also provided monetary assistance to one young kidney patient Thoungamba and ailing footballer, Ramananda in the past. The team also extended help while renovating Kakching Khujampat.

Appealing to the people of the state to extend help to Suraj, Munal told with grief that a huge amount of money is needed to perform the most needed surgery of Suraj. His mother is a deaf and Suraj was the sole bread earner of his family.
