JAC outlines demands over mysterious death

Spokespersons voiced support for the JAC and condemned the chief minister for inaction after a memorandum was submitted, demanding the investigation of the mysterious death within 48 hours.

The Joint Action Committee (JAC) against the brutal killing of Meraimayum Imtayaz Khan convened a meeting at Tulihal Community Hall on Friday, in presence of CSOs, Meira Paibi Lups, and representatives of local clubs from Yairipok.

The meeting outlined several demands for the mysterious death of Meraimayum Imtayaz, 21, son of MD. Najir Khan.

Spokespersons voiced support for the JAC and condemned the chief minister for inaction after a memorandum was submitted, demanding the investigation of the mysterious death within 48 hours.

During the meeting, JAC member MD. Sahid read out the resolutions, stating that the JAC will launch a stern agitation with the support of CSOs, Meira Paibi Lups, and local clubs. The committee also decided not to claim the body if the authorities failed to address their demands. The resolution also warned to impose total shutdown if the authorities remained deafen.
