Irawat Celebration Committee constituted

The committee announced plans for a month-long observance from September 1 to 13 to commemorate the 129th birth anniversary of Jananeta Irawat.

The Irawat Celebration Committee, Manipur 2024, was officially constituted during a meeting convened at Irawat Bhawan on Monday.

Representatives from Manipur Loumee Lup, All India Youth Federation, All India Students Federation, All Manipur Nupi Marup, Aeeba Singgi Lup, and CPI officials attended the meeting, stated a release.

M Nara has been appointed as the president, with M. Joykumar Luwang serving as the secretary of the committee, it mentioned.

The committee announced plans for a month-long observance from September 1 to 13 to commemorate the 129th birth anniversary of Jananeta Irawat.

An event titled ‘Manipurgi Apunba Saktam Ngaknaba Thabum,’ will be organised across various locations in Manipur, it stated.

As September 26 is annually observed as ‘State Mourn Day’ in remembrance of Irawat, the committee will organise a blood donation camp on September 26, it added.
