A ‘Review Meeting cum Interaction Programme’ for the functionaries and committees of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Chandel was organised at Chief Judicial Magistrate Court Complex, Chandel district on Tuesday.
The event under the theme, ‘Consider and Review the Legal Services Activities of DLSA, Chandel’ as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav campaign by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Chandel under the aegis of Manipur State Legal Services Authority (MASLA), stated a release.
It stated that the programme was chaired by secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Chandel cum Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chandel Lamkholal Kipgen; retainer Lawyer, DLSA, Chandel Kh Jacky Lucy; remand advocate, DLSA, Chandel Keishang Kopham; panel advocate, DLSA, Chandel JS Chamdil Anal; staffs and para legal volunteers of DLSA, Chandel JS Chamdil Anal took part in the said programme.
The Legal Aid Services and Outreach Activities carried out by this Authority were reviewed in the said programme. The main focus of the programme was to further improve in providing Legal Aid and services, sensitising and spreading awareness of the Legal Services Institutions to the general populace especially the marginalised section of Chandel and Tengnoupal district, it added.
