In his keynote address, ICCC general secretary Lunkholal Chongloi said that the ICCC was set up with a vision to strive for achieving complete economic freedom and self -reliance through entrepreneurship, creation of jobs and economic opportunities in society. It holds a mission to provide skill development, capital, knowledge and technology through a structural support system to the community members in order to empower them for success in business and work, he said.

She expressed her enthusiasm for growth in the commerce sector, mentioning that she had conveyed to the chief minister in this regard that it will not only promote sales but generate employment, for which she said that Churachandpur district was doing very well.

She also asked the official of ICCC to consult the new MLA of Saikot assembly constituency. She exuded confidence that many things can transpire with coordination. She suggested that food processing is a good option as Churachandpur is lying in the international border where rearing of cattle, piggery etc. can be maximised with potential for export that was further compounded by the availability of space or land.

MLA Paulenlal said that he had talked with ICCC members in the past and believes that the inauguration is a signal for economic development.
