India's COVID-19 tally crosses 16 lakh

While 10,57,805 COVID-19 patients have recovered, 35,747 patients have succumbed to the disease so far.

As the nation recorded the highest single day spike of 55,078 new cases, India's tally of COVID-19 confirmed cases crossed 16 lakhs on Friday, according to the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry data.
 
While 10,57,805 COVID-19 patients nationwide have recovered, 35,747 patients have succumbed to the disease so far.
 
Maharashtra continues to be the worst hit state with 4,11,798 confirmed cases, including 14,729 deaths and 2,48,615 recovered cases, followed by Tamil Nadu with 2,39,978 confirmed cases, including 3,838 deaths and 1,78,178 recovered cases and Delhi with 1,34,403 cases, including 3,936 deaths and 1,19,724 recoveries.
