The Government of India has been observing the day across the country as Parakram Diwas.

Speaking on the occasion, Sarkaryavah, Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh, Dattatreya Hosabale said the youths of the country should embrace the challenges by following the path of the two great personalities who are on the top list - Swami Vivekananda and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.

After witnessing the contribution made by Subhash Chandra Bose, who is considered a shining star in the galaxy, the Indian government chose to name Bose’s birth anniversary as Parakram Diwas, he added.

He said Bose cracked ICS examination but gave up everything and joined the movement against the British for a free India. During the movement, Bose went to jail several times but he never accepted defeat. Instead, he took an oath to challenge the British empire that is said to have no sunset, said Dattatreya.

To strengthen the movement, he continued the freedom struggle movement by establishing INA, he added.

“History of the revolution of this country is one of the most inspiring and the world has recognised this and is an example to the world. They were inspired by all for the power of spirituality within themselves including Netaji”, said Dattatreya.
