The Champhai Block Chief and Chairmen Association and Manipur Panchayat Parishad called off the economic blockade imposed on National Highways Imphal-Jiribam and Imphal-Dimapur on Saturday.

A statement issued by the two bodies stated that the decision was taken during a meeting held at Keithelmanbi, Kangpokpi.
The statement said the meeting unanimously decided to call off the blockade “due to sanctioning of the full demanded amount by the state government in the interest of the Job-card holders in Manipur”.
