Remembering the destruction of Babri-Masjid of Ayodhya on December 6, 1992, the All India Imams Council (AIIC), Manipur held a mass sit in protest at Sora Keithel of Kakching district on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, vice president of State committee of AIIC, Manipur Mufti Archad Hussian Kasmi said the people will always remember the destruction of the masjid as a dark spot in the glorious history of the nation. Accusing the Indian Legislature for being biased and brushing off the justice to the destruction, he lamented that such denial of justice has stained the constitution of India.
Warning the people to be wary of the “biased nature of the Indian government,” he appealed to the authorities concerned to produce the justice of the destruction of the Babri-Masjid promptly for the sake of secularism in the nation.
Protesters displayed slogans like ‘destroying Masjid is an act of terrorism’, ‘Secularism in democracy should be upheld’, ‘build Masjid on the site of destruction’, ‘we want justice’, ‘let us remember, remembrance is the shield’, ‘let us stand for justice’, ‘justice for Babri-Masjid’, ‘Sangha Pariwar Down Down, RSS Down Down’ etc.
