The Indian Medical Association (IMA) on Tuesday stated that it is deeply saddened by the untimely demise of the convenor of People Task Force against COVID-19 BK Moirangcha, who passed away in the wee hours of Sunday.
In this regard, the association paid homage to the departed soul by observing a two-minute silence in the afternoon of Sunday at IMA House Lamphelpat, IMA stated in a release.
Late BK Moirangcha had contributed much in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic by spreading its awareness to the public, IMA stated. He, in association with IMA Manipur State Branch had organised more than 200 awareness programmes on COVID-19 throughout the state, it stated.
Indian Medical Association Manipur State Branch shares the grief and sorrow of the bereaved family and prays that his soul rests in eternal peace at the heavenly abode, it added.
