As many as 492 patients attended the block health mela at Kangpokpi town organised by Kangpokpi Block Health Society on Friday.
The block health mela was organised as part of the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava and the Manipur BJP Government's "100 action plan for the first 100 days" at Multipurpose Mandap Hall.
Kengoo Zuringla, IAS, DC Kangpokpi graced the occasion as Chief Guest while James Doujapao Haokip, MCS, Chief Executive Officer, Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council Kangpokpi and Angam Leivon, Chairman, Kangpokpi Town Committee attended the function as Guest of Honour and Dr Lamkhoneng Haokip, Chief Medical Officer, Kangpokpi attended as Functional President.
The health mela was kicked off following a short launching programme presided by the guests.
Altogether, 24 stalls comprising of Pediatric, Eye, Obs & Gynae, Psychiatry, Dental Care, NCD Clinic, PMJAY/CMHT enrollment, Adolescent Clinic, etc. were opened at the health mela while free napkins were distributed to adolescent girls, and nutrition stall by ICDS staff apart from various health programs like NLEP, NTBEP, NVHCP, NVBDCP, Telemedicine, etc. were also conducted at the mela.
A total of 492 patients attended the Health Mela while 185 blood tests and 32 ultrasound services were provided.
Kangpokpi DC Kengoo Zuringla said that the Health Mela has been successfully implemented at different Health Centres and Halls in the district while it ended today.
The DC expressed appreciation to the CMO, SDOs, MO in charge, state teams and the entire team and DPO, ICDS team, etc. for delivering the health services to the public of Kangpokpi District during the health mela.
She urged the people of Kangpokpi to continue celebrating the spirit of our country's independence and endeavor to bring Health to all.
CMO Kangpokpi, Dr. Lamkhoneng Haokip, CEO Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council, Kangpokpi, James Doujapao Haokip, and KTC Chairman, Angam Leivon also spoke on the occasion.
Meanwhile, Dr. Paotinlal Haokip, Medical Superintendent, District Hospital Kangpokpi conveyed sincere thanks to the concerned authorities and civil bodies while extending gratitude to MS District Hospital Senapati for deputing Pediatrician at the health mela, Dr. Jamkholal Haokip and team for ultrasound service and NGO partners, Church Auxiliary Social Action (CASA), MRITE Project for extending all possible help in making the health mela a success.
