Hills Leaders’ Day, Meeyamgi Numit held in Pherzawl District

Around 500 services/benefits of different government schemes were delivered to beneficiaries on the occasion.

Pherzawl district administration on Friday organised the Hill Leaders’ Day and Meeyamgi Numit for the month of March at the Office Complex of the Pherzawl DC Camp Office.

Pherzawl ADC A Ghaneshyam Sharma; ADC and Programme Coordinator of District Hill Leaders’ Day & Meeyamgi Numit, Sachi; additional SP Lunzamung Tungnung; SDO (Tipaimukh/Vangai) I Denesh Kumar Singh and other DLOs, led by the DC of Pherzawl, Haulianlal Guite, attended the event.

Around 500 services/benefits of different government schemes were delivered to beneficiaries on the occasion, which included, registration of two deaths and 23 birth certificates along with 131 free Medical Check-up under the Medical Department, 57 dogs being vaccinated by Veterinary & AH and 12 ration cards under CAF&PD.   

From the Education Department, 78 Uniforms and 70 Textbooks along with 10 White Board were distributed while six Gasoline Pump sets were distributed by Horti & Soil Conservation and also six Bio-Fertilizer by Agriculture. The Social Welfare distributed two MOAPs including submission of one form for new registration, three beneficiaries for PMMVY under ICDS and 40 different certificates issued  by the Revenue Department.

The OSC distributed 70 leaflets on roles of OSC as well as organising an awareness programme on Violence Against Women & Mental Health. A total of 44 people registered for Forest Fire Alert System 3.0 under Forest Departments.

One Disability Certificate and some of the benefits/services were handed over to the beneficiaries directly by the Deputy Commissioner, the SP and others on the occasion     

As part of the event, 17 stalls of different departments under Pherzawl district were opened to cater to the needs of the people of the district.
