Health Mela held at Churachandpur's remote Lungthul- L village

For the first time, a block level health mela was held at Lungthul- L village on Tuesday.

A block level Health Mela was held on Tuesday for the first time at a remote Lungthul- L village, Suangdoh subdivision in Churachandpur district as part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav observation under '100 days action plan ' of the new Manipur government.

The event was attended by chief guest MLA of 60-Singngat AC Chinlunthang, SDO/BDO of Suangdoh subdivision Namlalung Gangmei and other officials of medical staff.

Singngat AC, with three blocks, will further organise the Mela at Behiang and Saiboh in the coming days.

Of the mela, the MLA stated that it will benefit many villagers while thanking those officials and villagers present on the occasion. He also appealed to the government employees to work earnestly for the people by recalling their pledge prior to joining their services.

More than 10 stalls were set up to cater to the health mela with the main objective being to create awareness to the Public regarding various schemes provided by the government including CMHT. The mela had a clinical stall such as cataract screening, hearing impairment, etc where more than 340 OPD tickets were utilised by villagers who were provided Medicine by the organiser, district health society, Churachandpur  under NHM.
