The Centre for Community Initiative and Churachandpur District Legal Service Authority organised a distributor programme of Niramaya Health Card and Unique Disability Identity Card to the parents of 'Children with Disabilities' at the Malsawm Ability Resource Centre, Pearsonmun, Lamka.
Niramaya Health Card was given to children with disabilities in four category - Autism, Intelligence disabilities, cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities which was under the Social Justice & Empowerment Ministry which deals with health insurances where the government will reimburse their expense on therapy at the tune of Rs 1 lakh without premium to the disabled from Northeast people.
The programme includes training on the use of Niramaya Health Insurances Card and importance of UDID where Coordinator (early intervention) & Special Educator of CCI Suanthang Thomte act as the instructor.
Altogether 22 insurance Cards were handed out to beneficiaries on the occasion.
