Har Ghar Tiranga awareness walkathon held in Churachandpur

The walkathon, which started from Mini Secretariat Complex, Tuibong and ended at Hiangtam Lamka Public Ground was participated by about 500 people, including DLOs, CSOs.

A Walkathon was held on Wednesday in Churachandpur led by DC Sharat Chandra Arroju and SP Shrivanand Surve to spread awareness on the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. The walkathon, which started from Mini Secretariat Complex, Tuibong and ended at Hiangtam Lamka Public Ground was participated by about 500 people, including DLOs, CSOs.

Upon reaching the public ground, the participants formed a human chain, spelling out INDIA, and hoisted the national flat. They also chanted ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’.

The DC of Churachandpur said that Har Ghar Taranga is an initiative to hoist the national flag and that the Walkathon is a message to each household, Government and private schools and offices to hoist the national flag. He added that there are plans to have a rally for school students, a bike rally, a cycle rally, etc.

Meanwhile, in their effort for the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, the STC/BSF organised a bike rally starting from their training centre till Peace Ground, Tuibong where hundreds of people participate while the OC of Churachandpur PS, Ingocha Nongthombam Singh, did his bid by distributing the national flag to his subordinate officers and staff at his office chamber.

He also urged them to hoist the tricolour at their respective homes to show the people what needs to be done under the campaign.
