Manipur People’s Party (MPP) on Monday urged the authorities concerned to locate the bodies of the two Meitei students and hand the bodies over to the bereaved family members to enable performing necessary rituals at the earliest.
MPP, in a release, appealed to the Central and state government as well as CBI, Manipur police and paramilitary forces to initiate necessary efforts to ensure the same.
Mentioning that six individuals were arrested by the CBI in connection with the incident, it demanded to award befitting punishments to those found guilty of the crime.
It further condemned the use of excessive force by RAF and Manipur police on the students who carried out a peace rally against the brutal murder of the two students and urged to punish those involved.
