Government needs to monitor roads passing Lamlai AC: Manipur Congress member Deben

People of the area are facing various problems in addition to the deplorable condition of the road during this monsoon season, the MPCC member said.

Most of the inter-village road and others in Lamlai assembly constituency are in deplorable condition as there is no MLA, Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee co-opted member Achoibam Deben said and urged Chief Minister N Biren Singh to look into the matter.

He was speaking during the renovation work of road passing along Nongpok Heirok, Nongdam to Kangijingjin Khullen and Takhel to Tinsit road on Wednesday.

During the renovation work carried out by Lamlai Block Congress Committee with the assistance of locals, Deben said that as the local MLA seat is vacant, the government has been neglecting to bring developmental works in the assembly constituency. People of the area are facing various problems in addition to the deplorable condition of the road during this monsoon season.

He further said that most of the road connectivity passing through the assembly constituency is not motorable. He appealed to the chief minister to look into the matter for the welfare of the people of Lamlai assembly constituency.
