The IPAK also appealed to the state government to punish all involved in any activities related to drugs and other illegal activities and to not spare any individual who is involved.

Assistant publicity secretary, IPAK Khaidem Johnson stated in a release that the state government should also check the activities of those individuals who are engaged in illegal activities amid the prevailing situation of COVID-19 in the state.

Alleging that police personnel and few leaders of the state may be involved in drug related cases in the state, IPAK also appealed to the state government to set up an enquiry in such cases.

When different civil voluntary organisations are taking active roles to control drug and other illegal activities in the State, it is very unfortunate that there are individuals who still continue such trade and activities in order to earn easy money without hard work, it stated.

If the state government fails to check illegal activities related to drugs, alcohol and tobacco products at the right time, the state will be in a position where all such activities will go out of hand, the release added.
